A family-oriented sailing and social club in Spring Lake Michigan.

Spring Lake Yacht Club is nestled in wooded acres along the north bank of Spring Lake. The lake’s exceptional beauty, north-south orientation and prevailing westerly Lake Michigan breezes make it a natural for those who enjoy the best of sailing and power boating.

SLYC has active racing fleets in six classes, so if you are looking to race sailboats, we have something that will suit your style. If you are new to sailing, our yacht club offers group and private lessons for both juniors and adults. Classes are offered on-site throughout the summer. With all of that, as well as our exciting new wave attenuating dock system, now is the perfect time to get involved in sailing on Spring Lake!

Approximately 200 member families comprised of sailors and non-sailors enjoy a host of year-round social activities. The members’ voluntary involvement in social and work activities creates a welcome, family-friendly feeling at the Spring Lake Yacht Club. This membership participation provides a vital foundation for the success of the club, and creates an atmosphere where the spirit and camaraderie of sailing can flourish.

Not an SLYC member? Not a problem! Membership with Spring Lake Yacht Club is NOT a requirement for sailing school participation. However, membership in SLYC provides more opportunities for sailing exposure throughout the summer.
